'South Park' will start its 17th season in September

Cartman, Stan, Kenny and Kyle's fans will have to wait until 25 September to discover the 17th season of South Park on Comedy Central, it was announced on Twitter (@SouthPark).

The animated series will return later than usual. South Park usually cuts one season into two parts which are shown in spring and fall. However, the 17th season, which is made up of ten episodes rather than 14, will be back fall.

The comedy is already sure to have a 20th season, which will be shown in 2016 on the American cable channel Comedy Central.

South Park, which was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone in 1997, is about four schoolchildren with colorful language who live in a small mountain town. Their improbable adventures are often an excuse to criticize American society.
