Fun-filled pop extravaganza at Twin Towers Live concert

LOOKS like the Twin Towers Live 2013 concert in March is going to be another fun-filled pop extravaganza.

Three artistes scheduled to perform at the free concert, which will be held during the Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix weekend (March 22-23), were announced last week. They are US pop singing sensation Demi Lovato, and K-Pop acts U-Kiss and Rainbow.

Singer-songwriter Lovato, 20, made her mark in the entertainment scene first as a young actress in the children series, Barney & Friends. She went on to guest star in numerous programmes, before landing a starring role as Sonny Munroe in Disney Channel’s Sonny With A Chance TV series. In 2008, she got the chance to star alongside the Jonas Brothers in the movie Camp Rock.

In that same year, Lovato released her debut album Don’t Forget, which was then followed by two more studio albums. Last year, she joined Britney Spears, LA Reid and Simon Cowell as a judge on the talent show, The X Factor USA.

South Korean boy band U-Kiss, comprising Soo-Hyun, Kiseop, Eli, Kevin, Dongho, Hoon and AJ, has three albums to its name. Its debut was released in Only One in 2010, followed by Neverland in 2011. Last year, U-Kiss came up with its first full-length Japanese album, called A Shared Dream.

Meanwhile, seven-member girl band Rainbow is famous for its hit singles like Gonna Gonna Go!, Candy Girls!, and A. The girls will perform on the second night of the Twin Towers Live 2013 concert.

More local and international acts will be announced in the time to come for the concert. For now, head to the Twin Towers Live 2012 Facebook page (facebook.com/TwinTowersAlive) or follow @TT_Alive on Twitter for more information.
