Welcome The Wanted
IT’S only three more days before British boyband The Wanted hits the country with its first full-length concert on Sept 17, at Surf Beach @ Sunway Lagoon, Selangor.
The charming quintet – Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran – stepped into the spotlight when its debut single All Time Low (ironically) topped the UK music charts in late 2010.
From then on, the guys have been unstoppable, churning out a string of internationally successful singles such as Heart Vacancy, Gold Forever, Glad You Came and Chasing The Sun.
Opening for the group is the talented Kyle Patrick, lead vocalist of American pop band The Click Five. Patrick, who recently launched his self-titled solo release, is expected to serenade the audience with his inspirational anthem Go For Gold!.
Adding some local flavour to the evening is Malaysian DJ duo Goldfish (Alvin Teoh) and Blink (Lau Hoe Yin). The pair has been serving up some infectious, head-bobbing dance tunes at night clubs for 10 years now. In July this year, the two finally released their long-awaited self-titled album.
Audiences can catch their performance of the groovy hit single In The House on that night.
In conjunction with the concert, JS Concert Productions will be giving fans a chance to win exclusive meet-and-greet passes tomorrow at 2pm at Movie Magic, 1 Utama shopping centre in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
To meet the handsome boyband in the flesh, just bring along or purchase The Wanted Special Edition album and participate in a lucky draw.
The concert begins at 8.15pm. Tickets priced from RM71 to RM363 can be purchased by visiting any Ticketpro outlets or via online at ticketpro.com.my.
