Avril Lavigne wows fans at Stadium Merdeka
KUALA LUMPUR: Canadian pop superstar Avril Lavigne took the stage at Stadium Merdeka and wowed a 14,000-strong crowd with her infectious tunes and explosive energy.
The petite 28-year old performed about 17 of her hit songs, including favorites such as My Happy Ending, When You’re Gone and Complicated as well as What The Hell and Smile from her recent Goodbye Melody album.
Petite dynamo: Lavigne performing at Stadium Merdeka last night. “Hey Kuala Lumpur!” Lavigne shouted cheerfully as she first appeared on stage, waving a green star shaped glowstick.
“Are you ready?,” she asked at her concert last night.
Her three-song encore also featured a surprise performance of Foster The People’s Pumped Up Kicks performed by one of her band members.
This is the singer’s second visit to Malaysia.
