Irish band Two Door Cinema Club will be releasing their second album Beacon on 3 September 2012. The 11 track album, recorded in LA, was produced by acclaimed producer Jacknife Lee.

The band's lead singer, Alex Trimble, who recently performed at the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, described Beacon as being “more intimate”.

The Irish trio treated fans to a free download of their latest single, Sleep Alone, for 24 hours from their official website on 19 July. The digital download was formally released on 21 July.

Their latest single has gotten mixed reviews from fans.

TDCC rose to stardom when their debut album Tourist History, released in 2010, helped them break into the mainstream music scene. The album was certified platinum in the UK and has sold over 1 million copies to date.
