What would you pay for a walk-on role alongside actor Hugh Jackman in the next X-Men movie? What would you pay to sit in James Cameron's private screening room while he screens his much-hyped about movie, Avatar?

Hollywood industry magazine Variety hopes those interested would pay a whole lot for the chance to meet up with Jackman and Cameron. Afterall, it's for a good cause. The proceeds of the Power Of Youth auction will benefit several children's charities.

According to the magazine, the goal of Variety's Power Of Youth is to reach out to the next generation of entertainers and encourage them to support philanthropic and humanitarian causes and to use their fame to encourage their fans to do the same.

The Wolverine star and the Titanic director are just a few of Hollywood's celebrities showing their support. Others include Hilary Duff, the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Abigail Breslin, Dakota Fanning and many more.

Two of the beneficiaries for this year's auction will be the Starlight Children's Foundation, which is a national in-hospital and outpatient program dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families; and LA's Best, an after-school program serving over 28,000 children in the city.

Apart from Jackman's and Cameron's contribution, up for auction is also a lunch date with Twilight and New Moon hottie Kellan Lutz; a walk-on role on the hit series, 90210; tickets to a Jesse McCartney concert that will include a meet and greet; merchandise of several TV shows and movies including t-shirts from Mad Men, and Twilight; a signed New Moon poster; tickets to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award and lunch with Naturi Naughton, from the movie Fame. The auctions run through 14 December and is hosted by eBay.

This year, the event will also recognize actors and singers Corbin Bleu, Miranda Cosgrove, Jesse McCartney, KeKe Palmer and model AnnaLynne McCord for their contributions to various charities. The event will be held on 5 December in Los Angeles.
